There are a number of tools, both Open Source and for purchase that content creators can use as part of their creation work-flow. The include both authoring solutions and accessible "turn-key" web solutions, to testing and Quality Assurance tools for the desktop. We have attempted to accumulate a listing of them here; however due to the rate that new software emerges into the marketplace this list cannot be considered complete. Hi-Caption Studio allows users to interactively quickly create captioning files for their media files. Just as you would rather use a web content editor to create web files, this program allows you to easily create the formatted captioning file, without having to learn the code behind it but with the power of making the code accessible.
